Ausar Bradley: I Finally Feel Like I’m Right Where I Need To Be.

You said it took you 5 months to write growth, with it now being 7 months since you released the project, where have you seen the most growth in your journey as an artist since the beginning?

I’d have to say most of my growth as an artist has been intrinsic. I’m a lot more patient now. I’m willing to let the process lead itself instead of forcing myself to a strict deadline. Of course, timelines are always needed in order to stay on task, but it’s a lot more free-flowing now. I’m also taking more time to cultivate the songs that I have instead of trying to maximize my output. Quality of quantity.

As 2018 came to an end, you sent off some tweets, and in one of them, you had said, ‘I finally feel like I’m right where I need to be.” Talk about that

Since I started doing music, I can’t say there’s ever been a time where I was completely satisfied with where I was. I always felt like there was an area I was lacking in. In some ways, I still do. I don’t think that feeling will ever go away. However, the difference now is I can finally see the fruits of my labor starting to show. I can hear myself inching closer towards the artist that I want to become. I’ve had opportunities that I would never dream of having when I first started, and there’s still so much more to come. So many things in the works behind the scenes. I’m confident in the path that I’m taking now, and I’m letting God lead.

And to finish that tweet you said, ‘by this time next year, I’ll have finally started to accomplish some of the major goals that I’ve set for myself.’ What are some of those goals?

I want to go on my own tour and I also want to accompany someone on tour as a major act, I want to solidify a starting base to a longstanding career in music by the time I graduate. I want to do out of state shows, I want to meet some of the people I look up to musically. The list goes on and on. In short, my goals are really just all about seeing my own progression as an artist.

Are you as open in your daily life as you are in your music?

Not in the slightest lol. At least not when I’m going through personal problems. But if I feel like my experiences can help someone around me, then I’m an open book! Otherwise, I keep things pretty tied up. Music is my release for that type of stuff.

You’ve been very patient with the rollout of this new music, but, what could we be expecting with the new releases?

YOU CAN BE EXPECTING THAT FIRE BECAUSE IM TRYNA PUT OUT SOME OF MY RAWEST MUSIC TO DATE AND MAKE YALL PROUD. SO THANK YALL FOR BEING SO PATIENT WITH ME.

What can we expect with this new music video with Danny we are waiting for?

Honestly, just me being me lol. We had a whole lot of fun shooting this video, and we laughed a lot while doing it. I hope the video brings you all the same amount of joy! Also, S/O Danny for just being super raw.
