“I wrote “Distant Love” to express the feeling of putting all your love and energy into any type of toxic relationship/friendship/affiliation. When writing the lyrics from my own personal experiences and outlook, I realized how easily applicable the words were for anyone experiencing a toxic situation. Those who loved and after investing everything they could, realizing that separation was the only way to not be destroyed. Maybe this is for people who haven’t realized that fact yet. This song’s to let everyone know, that at the end of the day, you have to remove anyone and anything that tries to latch on and destroy your spirits.”
